During his professional career, he has held Vice President and Director-level positions in Corporate Development, Engineering, and New Product Development with Fortune 500 multi-national companies; as well as with California based international start-ups. Derek is also the CEO of Regents Park Holdings where he manages a portfolio of knowledge-based companies including: Chicago Analytics, Regents Park Publishers, and Regents Park Institute.
Merry is a purchasing professional with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Projects range from boutique and midrange properties to 5-star resorts, casinos, free-standing restaurants, senior living, commercial, retail and high end residential. Directly involved with over 300 hospitality, commercial and residential projects, she has been responsible for procuring in excess of $300 million worth of manufactured goods and services. Merry has a demonstrable track record of bringing projects in on time, on or under budget, while maintaining the design aesthetic without sacrificing quality.
Donnis' career reflects "out of the box" design work that is influenced by her extensive theatrical background. She has 20 plus years of professional experience as a Design Manager, Project Director, Senior Designer and has strong communication skills and extensive technical knowledge in the field. With projects including convention centers, senior living, model homes, country clubs and set designs she brings a flair for the dramatic that is tailored to the needs of each particular location and culture.
Tamara is well versed in the creation of innovative design and well-appointed environments. During her 30 years of experience, her hospitality projects, both domestic and International, have embodied bold gestures, color, spectacular detail, monumental impact and dramatic focal points. Tamara is a true visionary with a solution-driven approach to design. Her high standards and attention to detail, consistently exceed expectations and ensures that the vision becomes a reality.
Recipient of the coveted "Spa Person of the Year" award, with over twenty (20) years of experience in the Spa and Hospitality Industry as Spa Director, Controller and Business project Consultant. He brings his previous years of analytical business experience in a variety of manufacturing, retail and service businesses to studying Resort Spas, Day Spas, Medical Spas, Wellness Centers, and Salons: their profitability, how they operate, and what makes them successful. Has been involved in the development of well over 500 Spas throughout the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. His approach is to study, analyze, educate, implement and cultivate both small and large-scale projects. Long known for his a unique Computerized Business Model called "Build-A-Spa" that allows financial analyses and feasibility studies, he has improved Spa business even further with "Financial BlueprintTM Feasibility Consulting."
Joanne brings over 22 years of professional international experience to the luxury and medical spa industry. Is the Director of Spa and Wellness at Bellus Academy and Founder of Spa Remedies Consulting, A native of the United Kingdom, Joanne was trained in Europe and holds a BTEC National Diploma in Beauty Therapy and an IFA Diploma in Aromatherapy. She utilizes her skills in beauty techniques while using her business savvy to sell products, develop innovative marketing and advertising techniques, takes an active role in strategic planning, and designing unique signature spa treatments. She focuses on business management and education in many different segments of the spa industry including, cruise ships, multiple day spas, resort/destination spas and most recently, medical spas.
Shelley has over 25 years of experience in the spa/wellness industry as an esthetician, educator, and business owner. Project management and consulting services include start ups, branding, writing protocols, training, purchasing, marketing, choosing products and green building. In-depth research, tiny details, and organized planning are part of the scope of work she offers. Shelley brings unique insight as both an owner and an employee. Shelley thrives on new ideas and the creativity in starting new ventures. She is also a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor (CSBA) and instructor.
Joyce founded Skinsational Skin and Body Spa in 1997 with the desire to provide the ultimate spa experience for her customers, at a time when the true day spa concept was brand new. Through her innovative vision and direction, Skinsational Skin and Body Spa became San Diego North’s premiere day spa and the preferred destination of many spa-goers. With over 24 years of experience in the skin and body care industry, Joyce is an expert at educating staff and discovering the perfect treatments for each and every guest. As a licensed esthetician, Joyce apprenticed with Robert Diemer, a renowned skincare pioneer and founder of the American Institute of Esthetics in Huntington Beach, California, where she is now an instructor. Licensed since 1983, she practiced her trade for several years prior to becoming an owner.
Talar involvement with Raad Ghantous and Associates goes back to a couple of years, when she first interned with the firm. Her involvement on multiple projects providing support and coordination when needed has been invaluable. She continues to gain specific and direct experience with clients in all phases of the creative process. She holds a degree in interior design and has a passion for high-end details and unique material selections.
John learned very quickly about sales and marketing from his first job at a Pizza Restaurant at the young age of 14. He went on to spend 35 plus years learning and perfecting his craft with a number of small shops, to large national corporations. He has worked with a number of industries: restaurants, night clubs, hotels, clothing stores, large retail chains, dentists, home care services, banks, car dealerships, logistics and transportation companies, computer software firms, mortgage companies, investment management and estate planning services. Long before computers came into our daily personal lives, John was using them for business purposes. He incorporates new marketing strategies utilizing new technology, to navigate in this digital internet world, with an old school personal touch.
